Good place to stay

Pros: Excellent location , really big, comfortable bed, great breakfast. We stayed in the oddly named Gazebo in a nice big room with views out over the Avon. Plenty of hot water for showers. Cons: Despite the building being quite substantial the sounds and voices still travelled from other rooms

A great short stay in a traditional Tudor hotel

Excellent hotel in a lovely place with great staff

Pros: Lovely old hotel in the centre of Tewkesbury, staff were friendly and service at breakfast and dinner was very good, the food was also good, a small menu executed very well which is far better than a large menu being mediocre, nice cosy restaurant area, really enjoyed it. Cons: Bedroom was very small and my husband had to duck to get inside the door! Not really a complaint as it is a very old hotel.

Good stay let down by poor housekeeping

Pros: Fab location. Great staff. Room size was good. Fans supplied in room. Good toiletries. Cons: We only had 1 bath towel & had to go out to reception to ask as the room had no phone. Set of pillow slips inside out. So was the duvet cover. This was rectified ourselves. High amount of dust everywhere. Including the top of bedside tables. Used coffee pods left in coffee machine from previous guests. House keeping has let the property down. This is a great property in a great location.
