Great location, nice bar area, room in need of some TLC.
Pros: The Wellington is in a fabulous convenient location for everything in Old Portsmouth. The bar / restaurant on the ground floor is really clean and welcoming, high tables in the window to watch the world go by. Just a few steps away from The Hot Walls and views along and across the harbour in one Direction. A gentle stroll along the harbour entrance in the other direction along the refurbished promenade towards Southsea common in the the other. Cons: Our room was a little dated and in need of some maintenance, a broken light fitting, cracks in the wall and window pane. The toilet was
Perfect location for wedding the next day and a comfortable nights sleep
Pros: Great location for what we needed, for the night before a wedding a few minutes away, bed very comfy Cons: Shower was tempermental, went from very hot to very cold with the slighest turn of the dial. Mirror could've been a little lower
Amazing location but eould not stay at wellington again
Pros: The location was amazing on the sea front next to old fort Cons: Nowhere to park and difficult to find public parking when we did it was expensive. Room very noisy above main room in pub and there was a party on which was very loud up until 11pm.
A really fabulous stay and would stay again as great value for money.
Pros: Central location to everything and carpark next door. Quirky little rooms. Fabulous breakfast and all staff so friendly. Cons: The floor in the bedroom hadn’t been swept/hoovered. Toilet/flooring might need replacing as a little pungent.
