Great location, comfortable room and excellent service

Pros: I loved the location, room, and staff. The hotel is a short taxi ride from the Palace Museum and within walking distance through historic hutongs and a commercial area to the Drum and Bell towers. The room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated in a Chinese style. The hotel manager and the young man at reception speak fluent English and are very helpful. Although the female receptionists don’t speak English, they are still very supportive, using a translator when needed, and always assisted me with booking taxis when my app wasn’t working. A nice, quiet and clean hotel in the heart of Beijing, simple but charming. I will return.

Pros: I did not book breakfast, but in the vicinity are beautiful places for Beijing breakfast. Cons: I would have very much enjoyed a window with sunlight. But since I was there only in the evening, it did not matter too much.
