Not worth the money
Pros: Location was not bad Cons: The bathroom was shared, even though the listing stated that it was private when we booked the room. The room itself looked nothing like the photos. The electricity kept going out every day, and we had to contact the staff each time to have it reset. There is also no elevator, which can be difficult when carrying luggage. The interior on the first floor looks completely different from the rooms upstairs.
Pros: Good location, very close to public transportation, safe and clean surroundings. Some nice restaurants in the area and near beautiful parks. The famous alamo park was 10 min walk. For the price, it was a good deal. Cons: Front desk was a bit aloof, and there’s no elevators. If you’re not fit enough to lug a big heavy suitcase up and then down the stairs, then this might not be a good fit for you. Staff don’t help. The hotel / room does have a funky smell.. but you quickly get used to it. It was fine for me in the end. I took the rooms with shared restroom and it wasn’t bad actually - was
I had a comfortable and affordable stay in a walkable part of town
You get what you pay for, which isn’t always the case.
Pros: It was clean. There was an issue which the nice lady who did the cleaning took care of immediately with no attitude, just a smile. Cons: Extremely small room. A tell-tale piece of sticky paper for rats on the floor. I didn’t see any, but eeek! Bare bones, but good for the price.
