Lovely stay
Pros: Good location Cons: Nothing
Great for what we needed; somewhere to stay overnight before going to Alton towers the next day.
Pros: The room was large, beds comfortable, water hot, and the location for our purposes was perfect. Having a microwave and a Tesco 10mins drive away is a plus. Smart tv is a nice feature, but you need to log in to your on streaming accounts Cons: It is somewhat tired. We had the family room with kitchen. Although there is a functioning oven, cooker and microwave utensils and cookware are almost non-existent. For example there was just one cereal bowl so we had to do breakfast in shifts. There are no local amenities within walking , so own transport is necessary. Ok for one or two nights
Ok for overnight stay could be a little cheaper and smell fresher
Pros: Parking was good room was clean Cons: The room didn’t smell very good upon arrival smelt like an old people’s home. The double bed was two singles pushed together and they wasn’t even the same size the height was different between the two and a mattress topper had been put on to try to make up the difference. Sink was left with scummy water in so had to put your hand in to open the plug.
The carpet had a big blood stain.
Stinks
Pros: Clean bedding and towels (Linen hire trollies outside). All appliances/lights work. Cons: It stinks as though someone died! Furniture needs to be skipped and fitted items (desk, storage, etc). Bed sagging in the middle. Carpet is sticky and so are all surfaces (condensation?). An ex-Premier Inn site and you can see why they got rid of it. Toilet appears to be leaking. Price was high considering the condition. Desperate need of a refurb or demolition.
October here averages 10°C, with around 78 mm of rain across the month.
