Perfect walkable spot before a virgin cruise

Perfect bank holiday in Portsmouth
We arrived straight from the ferry at 7.30am and the guy very very kindly let us check into our room. The staff couldn’t have been more considerate and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The hotel has been thoughtfully restored to an amazing standard. Place was spotless and bed very comfortable

Wonderful stop near many of the Royal Navy’s historic museums and less than 10 minute ride to the cruise terminal.
Pros: The history and garden are both spectacular. Alex and Ian were both very charming and informative. They gave us a top tip for our flow on visit to Edinburgh (the Dome) and that is where I write this review from with a pint of hawk stone. Cons: Our room had a bathtub only for bathing that was located in the same room as the bed. We had no issues with this but it could get interesting depending on your travel partner.
