Hotels in Altrincham

Altrincham is a well-heeled market town on the southern edge of Greater Manchester, historically part of Cheshire and still carrying that leafy, comfortable feel.

It is best known for one of England's more convincing high-street comebacks: once held up as a symbol of the dying town centre, it was revived largely around Altrincham Market and its Market House food hall, which now anchors a lively scene of independent restaurants, bakeries and bars. Stay near the town centre and the transport interchange, where the market, restaurants and tram are all within walking distance.
