Hotels in Bühl

Bühl is a working small town on the edge of the Black Forest, sitting where the vineyards of the Rhine plain meet the first wooded hills, a short hop south of Baden-Baden. It's best known for the Bühler Zwetschge, an early plum celebrated at an annual festival, and for the Affentaler red wine grown in the hillside district of Eisental. Above town, the ruins of Burg Windeck look out over the valley, and the Schwarzwaldhochstraße scenic road climbs from here into the high forest.

Be honest: the town centre is pleasant but modest, and much of Bühl's economy runs on automotive-supplier factories, so it feels more like a practical base than a destination in itself. That works in its favour if you're touring the northern Black Forest or flying via Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport, which is close by. Stay near the centre for walkable restaurants and rail links, or up in the vineyard villages if you want views and quiet evenings.
