Hotels in Can Pastilla

Can Pastilla marks the start of the Playa de Palma strip, the long sandy beach that runs east from Palma towards El Arenal, and it's been a package-holiday staple for German and British sun-seekers since the mid-twentieth century. The beach itself is the main draw: wide, calm and well-serviced, backed by a promenade of ice-cream stands, pedalo hire and mid-range hotels rather than anything architecturally distinguished.

Be honest: this is not the place for old-town charm or Mallorcan character — Palma's cathedral and Gothic streets are a short bus or taxi ride away, and Can Pastilla itself is fairly built-up and can feel overrun in peak season. Its real advantage is logistics, sitting just a few minutes from Palma de Mallorca Airport, which makes it useful for short stays or late arrivals.
