Staying in Eschborn
Eschborn is Frankfurt's corporate overflow, a small Hessian town on the city's northwestern edge that turned low business taxes into a skyline of glass office blocks. The Eschborn Süd business park houses major employers, including Deutsche Börse, which means weekday demand comes mostly from consultants, auditors and visiting staff rather than tourists. It is also known for the Eschborn-Frankfurt cycle race, a fixture of the May Day calendar that briefly fills the town with spectators.
Outside office hours there is little to do, the old village centre is pleasant but modest, and evenings are quiet to the point of sleepy. The upside is practical. S-Bahn trains reach Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof quickly, and Frankfurt Main Airport is a short drive away, so it works as a cheaper, calmer base than central Frankfurt for anyone with business on the western side. Stay near Eschborn Süd if your meetings are in the business park, or close to the main S-Bahn station if you plan to spend your evenings in Frankfurt.
