Hotels in Hoz de Jaca

Hoz de Jaca is barely a village at all: a scatter of stone houses with a population in the dozens, tucked into the Tena valley in the Aragonese Pyrenees. Its relevance to travellers has nothing to do with the hamlet itself and everything to do with location — it sits close to Formigal, one of Spain's largest ski resorts, and within reach of Panticosa's spa and slopes too.

Be honest: there's no old town, no real dining scene, and little to do if the snow hasn't fallen or you're not here for mountain walking. Amenities are functional rather than charming. Stay here specifically for ski-season proximity to Formigal's lifts; outside winter, you're better off basing yourself in Sallent de Gállego or Panticosa for more atmosphere.
