Hotels in Jaca

Jaca is the historic gateway to the Pyrenees, a small city that punches above its weight thanks to its Camino de Santiago heritage and its eleventh-century cathedral, one of the oldest Romanesque buildings in Spain. It's long served as a garrison and university town for this corner of Aragón, and its old quarter of arcaded streets and citadel still feels more substantial than its population of under 14,000 would suggest.

Winters bring skiers heading further into the mountains, while summer sees pilgrims and hikers passing through on their way to Somport and the French border. There's little sprawl to navigate, so location matters less than usual. Stay near the old town and the citadel, where you can walk to the cathedral, the main squares and the best restaurants without needing a car.
