Hotels in Palmanova

Palmanova is one of Mallorca's original purpose-built resorts, a curve of three Blue Flag beaches on the island's southwest coast that was developed for tourism decades before its rowdier neighbour Magaluf, a ten-minute walk around the headland. The beaches, Palmanova, Son Matias and Es Carregador, are calmer and more family-oriented than Magaluf's nightlife strip, backed by hotels, waterparks and mini-golf rather than historic streets.

Palma, the island's real city with its Gothic cathedral and old town, is only about 20 kilometres away, an easy bus or taxi ride for anyone wanting more than a beach day. Be honest: Palmanova itself has no old town or standout architecture, it is a resort built for sun and sand rather than sightseeing. Stay along the Palmanova seafront for direct beach access while staying a comfortable distance from Magaluf's late-night noise.
