Hotels in Panticosa

Panticosa is a thermal spa village high in the Aragonese Pyrenees at over 1,600 metres, its sulphurous springs used since Roman times and its grand nineteenth-century bathhouse once drawing King Alfonso XIII and Ortega y Gasset. Today it pairs the Balneario spa with the Formigal-Panticosa ski area, Spain's largest, running to some 180 kilometres of piste.

Be honest: this is a remote mountain village with thin off-season hotel stock, few taxis, and a spa complex that shuts each November for maintenance. It is a spa-and-ski destination, not a convenient all-year base. Stay inside the Balneario de Panticosa complex itself, at the Gran Hotel or the Continental, to sit within the thermal circuit and near the lifts.
