Hotels in Ridley Park

Ridley Park is a small, leafy Delaware County borough just southwest of Philadelphia, laid out in the late nineteenth century as a railroad commuter suburb, and it still feels like one: Victorian and early twentieth-century houses, a compact main street and a lake-centred park that gives the place its name. It is a quiet residential town rather than a destination, and most visitors end up here for practical reasons. The big one is Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), a short drive away, which makes Ridley Park a sensible base for early flights or business at the nearby industrial and aviation sites along the Delaware River.

Regional rail links the town to Philadelphia 30th Street, so Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts are reachable without driving into the city. Be honest: there is little to do in the evenings, and with only a handful of hotels, choice is limited and largely airport-oriented. Stay near the regional rail station if you plan to visit Philadelphia, or closer to the I-95 and airport corridor if an early flight is your priority.
