Hotels in Taylor

Taylor is a working-class Downriver suburb of Detroit, a grid of postwar neighbourhoods, big-box retail and arterial roads that grew up around the auto industry and still feels tied to it. Nobody comes here for Taylor itself; people come because it is cheap, central and close to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, which sits just to the southwest. That makes it a practical base for early flights, family visits or a car-based trip around metro Detroit.

The Arab American National Museum in neighbouring Dearborn is a short drive and well worth an afternoon, and Hitsville U. S. A. , the original Motown studio, is within easy reach in Detroit proper. This is strip-mall country, with little walkable charm, few standout restaurants beyond chains and reliable local diners, and you will need a car for almost everything. Stay near the I-94 and Telegraph Road corridor for the quickest airport runs and straightforward highway access to Dearborn and downtown Detroit.
