Hotels in Palermo Soho, Buenos Aires

Palermo Soho is Buenos Aires at its most fashionable — the neighbourhood that designers, architects and the city's creative class colonised from the late 1990s onwards, now lined with independent boutiques, pavement cafés, design concept stores and Argentine restaurants covering the full spectrum from asado rotisserie to avant-garde tasting menu. The weekend Parque Rivadavia and the Sunday antiques market in San Telmo are both a short taxi ride. Less formal than Recoleta, more commercial than Palermo Chico — and for first-time visitors who want Buenos Aires at its most dynamic and design-conscious, it delivers most consistently. Evenings along Thames Street are the standard-setter.
