Hotels in Stare Miasto, Kraków

Kraków's Stare Miasto is simply one of the finest medieval town centres in Europe — the enormous Rynek Główny (Main Market Square), the Gothic St. Mary's Basilica with its famous trumpet call, the Renaissance Cloth Hall and the medieval city walls all intact and pedestrian-friendly. Wawel Castle and Cathedral rise above the Vistula a five-minute walk south. Tourism is heavy but the quality is so high it barely matters. It suits first-time visitors and history lovers who want to stay inside the magic. Hotels range from budget to boutique; the square is the centrepiece of any Polish holiday, and deservedly so.
