Pros: It was affordable for Singapore prices and clean, and relatively spacious compared to more modern hotels in Singapore. Cons: The rooms felt old and dated, with a slightly musty, stale smell that you often associate with ageing hotels. Unfortunately, the windows couldn't be opened, so there was no way to let in fresh air or properly ventilate the room. This made the space feel even more stuffy and uncomfortable.

Pros: Nice clean facilities, nothing fancy but very comfortable Cons: Slightly musty/mouldy in first room but they changed our room straight away and were very hospitable
Unpretentious, clean rooms, decent pool, solid breakfast and great location to explore Katong.
Pros: The pool is large and alot of tables and sun loungers Cons: Bed was very firm gave me sore shoulders. Messaged asking for early checkin after making booking...told it would be based on availability. When I got there I had to pay almost as much as the full daily rate as it was their policy - they should have told me this when I messaged them - they knew what time I had requested,
Pros: Front office staff are so helpful and do a fast check in and check out. They helped me locate a missing item and were very facilitative. Familiar faces from previous stays like the concierge and bell man, are all so service oriented and were welcoming and helpful. Large room with all essential amenities. Cons: I like the carbon neutral initiatives but also miss the days when housekeeping wasn't as light. The airport shuttle service has been discontinued. There was something charming about the weekend shuttle to the City too but I can see how it may not align with the sustainability init
