Hotels in Chesterfield

Chesterfield is a Derbyshire market town best known for one thing: the twisted spire of St Mary and All Saints Church, a genuine architectural oddity that draws more curiosity than most people expect from a town this size. Beyond that, it's a solid, unglamorous former mining and market town with a big open-air market (one of the largest in England) and decent transport links via the M1 and rail lines to Sheffield and London.

Chesterfield itself isn't a tourist destination, and its town centre has the usual chain-pub and retail-park feel of post-industrial England. With 17 hotels listed, options are modest rather than plentiful. Stay near the town centre for easy access to the station and market, especially if you're using Chesterfield as a springboard rather than a destination in itself.
