Combloux sits on a sunny plateau across the valley from Mont Blanc, and that view is the whole point: postcard-perfect Alpine panoramas without the crowds or prices of Chamonix or Megève. It's a family-oriented resort, small and quiet, with a modest ski area that connects into the wider Evasion Mont-Blanc network via cable car rather than offering much serious terrain of its own.
Be honest: skiers chasing big vertical or lively après-ski should look elsewhere; this is a place for slower mornings, gentle pistes, and long views rather than nightlife. In summer it works well for walking and simply sitting somewhere with a good outlook. We only list five hotels here, so options are limited and worth checking well ahead in peak weeks. Stay somewhere on the plateau itself, ideally with a west or south-facing room, since the Mont Blanc view is the main reason to choose Combloux over its bigger neighbours.
