Écommoy is a small market town in the Sarthe department, south of Le Mans, and it is not a destination in its own right — most visitors pass through en route to the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit or are travelling the A28 motorway that runs nearby. The town centre is modest: a church, a market square, a handful of shops, and little in the way of sightseeing. What it offers instead is a quiet, cheaper base within easy reach of Le Mans itself, useful during race weekends when the city's own hotels are booked solid and overpriced.

Be honest: there's no real reason to linger here outside of motorsport events or as a stopover on a longer drive south.
