Hotels in Hale

Hale is an affluent commuter suburb south of Manchester, popular with footballers and media types thanks to its proximity to Manchester Airport and the motorway network, plus a village centre of upmarket boutiques, cafes and see-and-be-seen bars along Ashley Road.

It's a place people visit for a long lunch or a night out rather than sightseeing — there's no real tourist draw beyond the shopping and dining scene, and the wider suburb is largely residential streets of expensive houses. Stay right in the village centre near Ashley Road if you want to walk to restaurants and bars in the evening; anywhere further out and you'll be relying on a taxi.
