Hotels in Meyzieu

Meyzieu is a working suburb on the eastern edge of the Lyon metropolitan area, not a destination in its own right. Most visitors are here because of what's nearby rather than what's in town. Its main asset is location. The T3 tram runs straight into Lyon Part-Dieu, Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport is a short hop east, and the Groupama Stadium, home of Olympique Lyonnais, sits next door in Décines, so match and concert nights bring a surge of demand.

The town's best natural feature is the Grand Parc de Miribel-Jonage along its northern edge, a large lakeside park with beaches, cycling paths and water sports that locals flock to in summer. Be honest: the centre is pleasant but unremarkable, much of the surrounding land is business parks and residential sprawl, and evenings are quiet, so anyone wanting Lyon's food and old-town atmosphere will be commuting in. Stay near a T3 tram stop for easy links to both central Lyon and the airport, or book early if your dates coincide with a big event at the stadium.
