Hotels in Queensferry

Queensferry is really about the view, not the town: a small Firth of Forth settlement whose old high street sits in the shadow of three bridges spanning three different centuries, including the red cantilevered rail bridge that's now a UNESCO World Heritage icon.

It's a genuinely handsome spot for a stroll and a photo, with harbourside pubs and boat trips out to Inchcolm Abbey, but be honest: there's little else to detain you for more than an afternoon, and with only around 8,960 residents the town itself is tiny, closer to a village than a base with much independent nightlife or shopping. Stay here if you want bridge views and quiet evenings; stay in Edinburgh itself if you actually want a city break.
