Hotels near Denver International Airport (DEN)

Denver International Airport sits a long way out on the plains, well clear of the city itself, which makes the choice of base fairly simple: either stay properly airport-adjacent for an early flight or overnight connection, or accept that "near DEN" still means a proper drive if you actually want to be in Denver.

For the former, The Westin Denver International Airport is the standout, and the obvious pick — at 0.8 miles out, it's essentially on the terminal's doorstep, reachable by a short taxi or bus ride rather than any lengthy transfer. That proximity is worth paying for if you've got a pre-dawn departure, a late arrival, or a tight connection and don't want travel time eating into sleep. There isn't a wider cluster of budget alternatives immediately at hand, so this is less a case of comparing several nearby options and more a question of whether you value that closeness enough to book it.

The alternative is to base yourself in Denver itself, which works well if your flight times are generous enough to absorb the journey each way. You'll have the city's restaurants, bars and neighbourhoods to enjoy rather than an airport hotel loop, and prices and choice open up considerably. The trade-off is straightforward: convenience and time saved by staying at the airport versus the character and value of staying in town. For anyone with a same-day connection or an odd-hours flight, the airport option removes the risk; for everyone else, Denver proper is the better night's stay.
