About Cleveland Browns vs. Carolina Panthers
An NFL Sunday between two AFC and NFC sides, with the home crowd arriving early for tailgating in the lots around the stadium hours before kickoff. Autumn in Ohio means the weather can swing either way, so fans dress for anything from sunshine to a cold wind off the lake. Expect the usual matchday rituals: grilled food, jerseys, and a crowd that stays loud from the opening whistle.
Where to stay nearby
Cleveland itself is the obvious base, with the largest hotel selection and the shortest walk to the stadium at just a kilometre. Cleveland Heights, slightly further at 12km, is another solid option with fewer but reliable choices. All three towns give you a straightforward run to Huntington Bank Field by car or rideshare, so the choice mainly comes down to how central you want to be versus price and availability.

About Cleveland Browns
The Browns were founded in 1946 in the All-America Football Conference and named after their first head coach, Paul Brown, whose innovations — including the modern playbook and full-time coaching staff — shaped how the sport is run. Cleveland joined the NFL in 1950 and won multiple championships in the pre-Super Bowl era of the 1950s and '60s, built around fullback Jim Brown, still regarded as one of the greatest players in league history.
The Browns have never reached a Super Bowl. The original franchise relocated to Baltimore in 1996 to become the Ravens, but by league agreement Cleveland kept the Browns' name and history, and a reactivated team returned to the field in 1999.
Cleveland Browns records & quirks
- Jim Brown's 12,312 career rushing yards stood as the NFL record for over two decades.
- His 1,863 rushing yards in 1963 is still the franchise record and the NFL's oldest rushing mark.
- Brown led the league in rushing a record eight times in his nine pro seasons.
- Cleveland's longest streak of consecutive road wins is seven games, reached three separate times.
