About WorldSBK Italian Round 2026 (Cremona)
World Superbike weekends run across three days, with free practice giving way to qualifying and then two full race days of Superbike, Supersport and Superbike support classes sharing the bill. The circuit rewards riders who can carry corner speed through its flowing layout, so overtakes tend to come late and under braking rather than down long straights. Paddock access, pit walks and grid areas give fans a closeness to the machines and riders that's rare in motorsport.
Where to stay nearby
Cremona itself is the obvious base, close enough to the circuit for an easy trip on race day and with the widest choice of hotels by far. Castelvetro Piacentino sits a little nearer still and works well if you'd rather stay somewhere quieter and don't mind a short drive in. Milan is a realistic option too — it's further out, roughly an hour and a bit by road, but it gives you a much bigger pool of hotels and flight connections if you're arriving from abroad, at the cost of a longer trip to and from the paddock each day.

History
World Superbike's Italian round unfolds at the Cremona Circuit, a compact modern track laid out across the flat farmland of the Po Valley in Lombardy and one of the newest venues on the championship's calendar. Since its arrival in 2024 it has become an instant favourite for close, technical racing, and this is Ducati country, with the factory's Borgo Panigale home barely an hour to the east and the grandstands filling with the kind of devoted Italian crowd that gives the round a heartland feel.
The circuit takes its setting from Cremona itself, a graceful Renaissance city thirty minutes west that has few rivals for charm: it is the birthplace of the violin as we know it, where Antonio Stradivari perfected his craft and where luthiers still work in workshops around the old town. Above it all rises the Torrazzo, the tallest bell tower in Italy, and the local table runs to mostarda, torrone and creamy risotto — a reminder that a weekend here is as much about Lombardy as it is about superbikes.
