History
World Superbike's Italian round unfolds at the Cremona Circuit, a compact modern track laid out across the flat farmland of the Po Valley in Lombardy and one of the newest venues on the championship's calendar. Since its arrival in 2024 it has become an instant favourite for close, technical racing, and this is Ducati country, with the factory's Borgo Panigale home barely an hour to the east and the grandstands filling with the kind of devoted Italian crowd that gives the round a heartland feel.
The circuit takes its setting from Cremona itself, a graceful Renaissance city thirty minutes west that has few rivals for charm: it is the birthplace of the violin as we know it, where Antonio Stradivari perfected his craft and where luthiers still work in workshops around the old town. Above it all rises the Torrazzo, the tallest bell tower in Italy, and the local table runs to mostarda, torrone and creamy risotto — a reminder that a weekend here is as much about Lombardy as it is about superbikes.
