Hotels in Lincoln

Lincoln is Nebraska's state capital, and its Capitol building announces a city with its own ideas: a 400-foot tower rising from a squared base rather than the usual dome, designed by Bertram Goodhue. On Cornhuskers game days, Memorial Stadium has sold out every home game since 1962 and swells into the third-largest gathering point in the state, while the old warehouses of the Haymarket District hold the city's best bars and restaurants year-round.

It is a compact, walkable downtown with genuine energy from the student population. Winters are harsh and there is comparatively little for non-football visitors beyond a few solid afternoons. Stay in the Haymarket District for restaurants and an easy walk to the stadium.
