Hotels in Vic-sur-Cère

Vic-sur-Cère is a small spa town in the Cantal, tucked into the Cère valley below the volcanic peaks of the Monts du Cantal, and it has punched above its weight in tourism terms since the nineteenth century, when its mineral waters and mountain air drew a Belle Époque clientele who left behind ornate villas and a grand casino-era feel that still marks the town centre.

It's now better known as a base for walkers heading up toward Puy Mary and the Cantal ridges, with the Cère gorges and old narrow-gauge rail routes adding to the appeal. Stay in the town centre near the old spa quarter, within easy walking distance of both the shops and the trailheads into the hills.
