Hotels in Bonfim, Porto

Bonfim is the neighbourhood where Porto's creative class has settled — a quiet, hilly grid of azulejo-tiled townhouses east of the centre, with independent wine bars, concept stores, natural wine shops, a lively local market and a weekend pace that suits travellers wanting to get under the city's skin. Less visited than Ribeira, it's younger in energy and noticeably better value. The metro and buses connect you to the Ribeira waterfront and the old city in under 15 minutes. It suits repeat visitors and longer stays; for a genuinely local Porto base with excellent food and drink, Bonfim is the current answer.
