Beautiful Inn with so much history tucked into the community of Currie barracks. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, quiet and cozy. Excellent dining options and a grab n go cafe.

Cozy business trip stay
Is a single woman traveling alone for business, it did not take me long to feel safe and comfortable in this hotel and neighborhood. I enjoyed my dinners every night and chatting with the dining staff. It is a wonderful atmosphere. Room I had was a little snug but had everything I needed, except for a luggage stand. It is not ideal to bring large, clamshell style luggage unless you plan on completely unpacking it into the armoire. The neighborhood is walkable and includes two different distilleries with pleasant outdoor seating.

TLDR: bring a fan, staff are awesome, breakfast buffet is quite good. Staff were excellent, from front desk right through to kitchen. A little confused by their own “do not disturb” sign, but really excellent otherwise. Very pretty location, quiet area, very close to downtown and Kensington. AC in room was inadequate, thermostat does not appear to be connected to the unit itself, temperature didn’t drop below 22 degrees centigrade the entire weekend even when set to 17, and windows don’t open which made sleep uncomfortable. Parking was a chore, especially with 2 large events occurring simultan
