Hotels in Basseterre

Basseterre is the small, easy-going capital of St Kitts, arranged around the Circus with its green Victorian clock tower and Independence Square, with a cruise port at Port Zante that dictates how busy the streets feel on any given day. Its charm is scale: you can walk the whole centre in an hour, then head out to Brimstone Hill Fortress or ride the scenic railway around the island.

Warner Park, the intimate cricket ground on the edge of town, hosts the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the Caribbean Premier League, with the crowd close enough to touch the boundary. Most hotels are in Frigate Bay, ten minutes away, so stay there and taxi in for the cricket.
