Hotels in Fremont

Fremont sits in the East Bay across from Silicon Valley proper, and its identity is really "Tesla's factory town plus a major Bay Area tech and manufacturing base" rather than a place people visit for its own sake. Most travellers here are on business — visiting the Tesla plant, other manufacturers, or nearby tech offices — or passing through en route to Silicon Valley without paying San Jose's higher rates.

There's little in the way of a historic center or tourist draw: the Niles district has some old-town charm and antique shops, and Mission Peak offers a genuinely good hike with views over the whole bay, but be honest, this is a suburban sprawl of business parks and freeways, not a walkable destination. It's well placed relative to Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport, which makes it a practical base if you're working across the South Bay and want to dodge San Jose or Palo Alto prices.
