Lenzerheide sits on a high plateau in the Graubünden Alps, strung between the Rothorn and Danis peaks with the Heidsee lake as its centerpiece — one of the few Swiss resorts you can genuinely ski or bike right into from the village. It's built its reputation on year-round sport: a serious mountain-bike park in summer, World Cup ski races in winter, and enough interconnected lift terrain with neighbouring Arosa to satisfy intermediates and experts alike.
At 2,610 residents it has none of the historic glamour of St. Moritz or Zermatt, and the architecture is mostly practical chalet-style rather than picturesque old-village charm, so this is a place for outdoor activity rather than sightseeing or nightlife. Prices run high by international standards even if slightly below the biggest-name resorts. Stay close to the Heidsee or the main lift stations if you want ski-in or trail access without relying on a car.
