Hotels in Port Dickson

Port Dickson is the Kuala Lumpur crowd's default beach escape: close enough for a weekend drive from the capital, which means it's busy with domestic tourists and school groups rather than international visitors. The beaches are brown-sand and calm rather than postcard-perfect, backed by a long stretch of resorts, seafood shacks and jet-ski operators that cater squarely to families and company retreats.

This isn't Langkawi or the east coast islands, and the water isn't the draw so much as the convenience and the sunsets, which are genuinely good over the Strait of Malacca. Cape Rachado (Tanjung Tuan) at the southern tip has a lighthouse and some decent short hikes, and the town itself is unremarkable beyond the beach strip.
