Hotels in Villeneuve-le-Roi

Villeneuve-le-Roi is a quiet residential suburb in the Val-de-Marne, southeast of Paris on the banks of the Seine, and its defining neighbour is Paris-Orly Airport, which sprawls right up against the town. That makes it a practical rather than romantic base: ideal for early departures, late arrivals or a one-night stopover, with a small handful of hotels catering mostly to travellers passing through. Be honest: there is little here to see, the streets are largely low-rise houses and local shops, and aircraft noise is a long-standing local complaint given how close the runways and flight paths sit.

The upside is access. The RER C line runs from town into central Paris, putting Notre-Dame, the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Élysées within reach for a day trip, though you will spend real time on suburban trains to get there. If Paris sightseeing is the main goal, staying in the city itself makes more sense. Stay near the RER station if you plan to head into Paris, or closer to the airport side if your priority is simply catching a flight.
