Hotels near Abbey Presbyterian Church

A slender Gothic Revival spire rises over the corner of Parnell Square, its pointed stonework catching the light above the rooftops of Dublin's north side. Abbey Presbyterian Church is widely known in the city as Findlater's Church, after Alexander Findlater, the merchant who paid for its building. The exterior rewards a slow look from the pavement: tall lancet windows, carved tracery and buttresses climbing towards the spire, all in the crisp, upward-reaching language of the Gothic Revival. The church shares Parnell Square with the Dublin Writers Museum and the Hugh Lane Gallery, so an architecture stop here pairs naturally with an afternoon of books and paintings. Dublin Connolly is the station listed for the area, and Dublin Airport serves the city. Stay in Dublin to see its spire for yourself.
