Hotels in Wimbledon, London

Wimbledon is a green south-west London suburb, best known for the All England Lawn Tennis Club and the Championships held there each summer. The old village on the hill has independent shops, cafés and pubs, and Wimbledon Common and Putney Heath, a large stretch of open heathland and woodland, begin a short walk away. The station is served by the District line, Thameslink and South Western Railway, with trams running to Croydon. It suits tennis visitors, families and walkers who prefer a calmer, residential stay and are happy to travel into central London. During the Championships, rooms nearby fill early, so book well ahead.
