Hotels in Hackney, London

Hackney is East London's coolest residential quarter — Broadway Market on Saturdays, the open green of London Fields, canal-side pubs and a dense run of independent cafés, galleries and record shops. Less polished than Shoreditch and all the better for it, it rewards travellers who want to live like a local rather than tick off sights. The Overground threads it to Shoreditch, the City and beyond. It suits younger and repeat-visit travellers after authentic, creative, slightly off-piste London; there's less of the classic tourist circuit here, which is precisely the appeal.
