Hotels in Augusta

Augusta is a modest Georgia city on the Savannah River — a pleasant Riverwalk, James Brown's hometown statue, a growing medical and cyber sector — that once a year becomes the centre of world sport when Augusta National hosts the Masters. Be realistic about that week: hotel prices multiply several times over, minimum stays are standard, locals rent out their houses, and rooms are sensibly booked a year ahead.

Many patrons stay in Aiken, South Carolina, 20 minutes away, or as far out as Columbia, and commute. Outside Masters week Augusta is quiet and cheap; stay downtown near Broad Street, or along Washington Road if being close to the course gates matters most.
