Hotels in Bradford

Bradford made its Victorian fortune in wool, and that wealth still shows at Saltaire, Titus Salt's model mill village on the edge of the city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the vast Salts Mill now houses galleries, shops and a permanent David Hockney collection. The city itself is the world's first UNESCO City of Film and was UK City of Culture 2025, with National Science and Media Museum exhibits and a year-long programme of events across the district.

Bradford was once Britain's richest city outside London, but decades of deindustrialisation have left it among the country's more deprived areas, and the city centre can feel run-down after dark. Curry houses are a genuine highlight: Bradford has been named Curry Capital of Britain multiple times, with well over a hundred South Asian restaurants across the city. Stay near Saltaire or the city centre's cultural quarter for the museums and film heritage.
