Hotels in Forest Hills

Forest Hills is a residential pocket of Queens best known for Forest Hills Gardens, a planned Tudor-style enclave of curving streets and ivy-covered brick built in the early twentieth century, and for the West Side Tennis Club, which hosted the US Open before it moved to Flushing Meadows. It's a genuinely pleasant, leafy neighborhood to walk around, with none of the hustle of Manhattan, but that's also the catch: you're a good half hour by subway from the Empire State Building, Central Park or the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and further still from the Statue of Liberty or Brooklyn Bridge.

Be honest: this is a place to stay if you want a quiet, local New York experience or are visiting family nearby, not a base for hitting every landmark before lunch. Stay near Austin Street, Forest Hills' main commercial strip, for easy access to restaurants, shops and the subway into Manhattan.
