Hotels in Marina

Marina is less a town than a name-tag: with a population barely over a thousand, this is one of the small seafront settlements scattered along the Italian coast, the kind that exists mainly because someone needed a harbour and a strip of houses to go with it.

There's no skyline of monuments here, no old-town maze to get lost in — what you get is a working or semi-working waterfront, a handful of trattorias serving whatever came off the boats that morning, and a slower pace than the bigger resort towns nearby. Be honest: outside peak summer weeks this can feel sleepy to the point of shut, with limited shops, transport and nightlife, so it suits travellers after quiet and sea air rather than sightseeing or entertainment.
