Hotels in Nørrebro, Copenhagen

Nørrebro is Copenhagen's most multicultural and hip neighbourhood — a working-class area transformed by cafés, independent restaurants, natural wine bars and the boutique-lined Jægersborggade, now rated among Europe's best small streets. Assistens Cemetery, where Kierkegaard and Hans Christian Andersen are buried, provides an unlikely green heart. Young, affordable and genuinely local, it's a world away from the tourist gloss of the old city. Two metro stations and multiple bike lanes keep central Copenhagen 10 minutes away. It suits younger travellers and repeat visitors who want to live rather than tour the city — and eat very well without the old-town price tag.
