Hotels in Hillside

Hillside is a small village in Angus, barely more than a crossroads and a scatter of houses, with a population of around 1,170. There's no real reason to base a trip here beyond convenience or family ties in the area — this isn't a destination with its own attractions, restaurants or nightlife to speak of.

What Hillside offers is quiet and proximity to the wider Angus countryside, including Brechin Cathedral a short drive away, which is worth the detour for its round tower and medieval stonework. This is a base for people who want to be near Brechin without paying Brechin prices, not a place to linger. Stay here only if you want rural quiet and don't mind driving for everything else; otherwise Brechin itself makes more sense as a base.
