Hotels in Kemp Town, Brighton

Kemp Town is Brighton's bohemian east end — the LGBTQ+ heart of the city and its most characterful residential district, a mix of Regency terraces, vintage shops, independent bars and an easy tolerance that Brighton built its reputation on. St James's Street is the main artery, full of cafés from 9am and cocktail bars from 5pm. The beach is five minutes' walk; the marina a further 20. Less touristy than the Lanes and noticeably better value, with the same proximity to the seafront. For the authentic Brighton of its residents — welcoming, creative and endlessly individual — Kemp Town is where most locals would put a visitor they actually liked.
