Hotels in Hope Valley

Hope Valley is the stretch of the Peak District strung between Chapel-en-le-Frith and Castleton, more a scattering of villages and farmland than a single town, with a population barely topping a thousand.

Weather can turn fast up on the tops, and rooms get booked out on peak walking weekends well in advance. Stay in or near Castleton for the best base — it puts you within walking distance of the castle, the show caverns and the start of most of the valley's classic routes.
