Hotels in Overland Park

Overland Park is a Kansas City suburb best known locally for the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead, a turn-of-the-century working farm recreation that opened in 1978 and was renamed in 1985 after Deanna Rose, an Overland Park police officer and the first female officer in Kansas killed in the line of duty. Today it holds close to 250 animals across twelve acres and remains a genuine local institution rather than a tourist trap.

Beyond the farmstead, this is a modern, low-density suburb of shopping centres and residential streets with little historic core of its own. It works well as a calm, family-friendly base for exploring the wider Kansas City area. Stay near the farmstead or Downtown Overland Park for family attractions and easy highway access into Kansas City.
