Hotels in Ness Islands, Inverness

The Ness Islands are a string of small wooded islets in the River Ness, connected by footbridges and maintained as public park — five minutes' walk south of the city centre. The riverside path from the castle gate walks straight to them. Hotels and guesthouses along Ness Walk and Ardross Street put the islands on your morning walk. The neighbourhood is quiet, tree-lined and feels far more rural than its distance from the high street suggests. In autumn the foliage and the castle above make it one of the most unexpectedly attractive city-centre walks in the Highlands. Stay within a short walk of here to make that walk part of your daily rhythm.
